MATAOROC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Mataoroc Elementary School is located at Barangay Mataoroc, Minalabac, Camarines Sur. It was 9 kilometers away from district office and 7 kilometers from the national highway and 10 kilometers from the Schools Division Office. The school has the land area of 14,502 sq. m.
The school was established in 1946. This was one of the oldest school in the lowland area of Minalabac. The land area occupied by school was awarded through land consolidation from Department of Agrarian Reform. People of the nearby barangays like Sagrada Familia, San Jose, Manapao, Baliuag Viejo sent their children to acquire basic education in this school. The couple named Mr. Manuel Delima, the principal and his wife Mrs. Maria S. De Lima became the first teachers of this school occupying a small nipa hut as their classrooms. Equipped with competence and dedication and strong drive to uplift education in this barangay this school became a promising school. The increase of enrolment was felt in 1964 where this became a compete elementary school.
The first principal of this school was Mr. Manuel O. De Lima in 1963-1990. This long span of time paved way for enormous school improvements physically and academically. The couple retired in service and was succeeded by Mrs. Minerva S. Sales Teacher –In-charge and was soon transferred to another school. Another principal was placed in this school by the name of Mr. Jesus Bibe and headed the school in 1991-1994. Another male principal took his place after his retirement by the name of Mr. Salvador Fabay (1994-2003). The school waited in two school years’ time for another principal; meanwhile it is manage by an Officer –In-Charge Mrs. Haide F. Resuena (2003-2005). In 2005-2016, eleven years the school was headed by a principal named Mrs. Elisa C. Bas, who transferred to another district in this division. In September 2016 another principal was assigned. Mrs. Julma A. Estefani, former principal of Tariric Elementary School and now the present principal.
